Evening Sunflower

A drawing for a friend of mine at pharmacy school. It's suppose to be a drawing of her. Back when we first met, she told me she would love to commission me for a drawing of herself in anime form. However, I made this as a gift for her instead! She's seriously the nicest person I've EVER met in my entire life!

It took me a long time to work on this on/off due to school and because I didn't know how I wanted to draw her. Like with most of my drawings, I take forever deciding on the composition unless if inspiration strikes (most often during the most unexpected times of the day). In the end, I went with a portrait sort of arrangement. I usually prefer not to stick with portraits since I like showing more of the character's body and I like having more options with poses. But every once in a while, drawing a portrait can be a fun change of pace! :3 Plus, I could really use more practice drawing larger. 8'D
